Ron Lowe, In Memoriam

Ronald Wayne "Ron" Lowe
January 14, 1948 - August 13, 2009

Ron Lowe passed away on August 13, 2009, at Baylor Grapevine Hospital. He was 61 years old. He was a 1966 graduate of Richardson High School, and he received a bachelor's degree from the University of Arkansas in 1971. He resided in Grapevine, Texas, on his much-loved sailboat named Resurrected.

His memorial service will be held at 7 pm on Sunday, August 16 at Big Daddy's Cafe at the Scott's Landing marina on Lake Grapevine (directions here). Dress will be very casual. We'll be having a potluck dinner (Ron loved them!)--so bring a favorite dish or two to share. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ron's memory to

Ron is preceded in death by his parents Anna Lee Briggs Lowe and Bryan Kenneth Lowe of Richardson. He is survived by a son, McCrary Lowe of Tulsa, OK; a daughter, Martha Lowe Huff of Maumelle, AR; a brother, Glen Lowe of Hot Springs, AR; a sister, Donna "DK" Lowe of Rowlett, TX; a sister, Marianne Lowe-Broyles of Hortense, GA; three grandsons and a granddaughter; a step mother, Barbara Lowe of Richardson; three nieces and four nephews; and many good friends.

Ron's family wishes to express deep gratitude to his friends for their support and encouragement in the days leading up to his death. Special thanks goes to Craig, Matthew, Susan and Glenn.
